Is the plastic supermarket bag Malarky get a little silly?
Hi, I am in favor of reducing plastic waste, etc. but things like an exercise in public relations in the supermarkets have a little silly. OK, I personally use my "fair trade-raw-degradable" cotton bags. They are better for carrying stuff anyway. BUT my local Co-Op have adopted a policy to hide the plastic bags at check out. Oh, you may have many as you want, now they ask for them. This is silly. Also, when there this morning, I realized that people were being re-issued and white plastic bags with "Merry Christmas" on them. I laughed. I guess it's just to get rid of the shares are now ashamed to do. Another you do not understand, is that you can buy large cotton "Trolleys". Fill one of the above, and will be a fork lift to get the car. I'm sure the plastic kitchen trash bag manufacturers are happy, because it is like riding a bicycle I re-grocery bags. It is not a public relations exercise, instead of buying plastic bags to give away with purchases that are selling cotton bags. That have cut costs and increase profits. And also reuse my plastic bags for trash, but I'm so grateful when a charity think of me and paste a full bin liner size through my door.
