Shimano Dura-Ace 8-speed and indexed by tube levers?
I bought an old bike, but I can not tell what year it is (i did not check the serial number of the table .. i did not find it) So the specs are: 8speed Dura-Ace cassette (with the last threaded sprocket), lever downtube indexed shift to the rear and friction shifter for the front, a steel frame Krapf (Chrome) 10kg weight is precisely what is decent steel out Question: What year would that be? I'll have a look on the codes of some parts that are exposed. In the framework can not find it (which is not in the dropout) I'll add some codes in a few minutes is BR 7402, and buttress thread has gone from making it Uniglide, so from Sheldon Brown site I realized was only in 1989 (uniglide 8speed) Three other components are 7402 (Brake Levers, brake calipers, shifters, etc.) sens me these are the original pieces the bike is just so 1989. However, a very decent ride at small prices, and hard-ace is in perfect condition: D
I guess the late 80s, because it is as hard and downtube index shifting. 8-speed cassettes were quite rare at the time and only on the top line of motorcycles. So about 87 to 89 perhaps that is my guess.
