That is the Vehicle Information System. It has four functions main. 1. Show the current time and date. 2. Monitor operating conditons vehicle and alerts the driver if you have a breakdown. 3. Displays a reminder service or indicate the distance to the service. 4. Display 2 and 4 wheel drive transfer case operating modes. After changing the oil, to restore the press against the button Selection momentarily, then press and hold the knob at least 2 seconds with the ignition on. This will reset the counter 3000 km and let you know how long you have to go before your next oil change. To reset the clock / calendar function, turn on the ignition and make sure the time and date is displayed. Press and hold the set button until it flashes the hour digit, then release.
