Hard Tail and dual suspension frame Mountain Bike

The frame of a mountain bike is the skeleton that holds the bike with them. It is important choose the right frame, because chances are, it is the party most likely will not change regularly. When choosing your Bike Frame, it is important to know what frame types are available and what is going to use the bike.

The two main types of pictures of mountain bikes are hard tail full of suspended particles. You can probably already guess their differences by their names. Hardtail frames do not have suspension in the rear of the frame and are generally less expensive and lighter. Because they offer less shock absorption, which are suitable for less rugged terrain as casual stroll in the park and rides more casual adventurers in the woods.

The bikes with dual suspension frame suspension of supply both in the front and rear. Front Suspension is provided by the fork and rear suspension is mounted on the frame. They are heavier than rigid frames, but absorb shocks better, so the rider can travel more and more difficult. As a result, are chosen to go in rugged terrain. However, having said that, cross-country runners, many prefer rigid due to extreme lighter and stiffer rear is better for acceleration and speed.

bike frames are made usually steel, aluminum, Carbon Fiber or titanium. Each of these materials has its pros and cons.

Steel is strong and steel frames are available in a wide range of prices that can cater for any type of rider. Its springy feel is a great attraction for those who prefer steel to aluminum. Repairs steel frames are very affordable too. However, its major drawback is that it rusts. The steel frames must be painted, since any scratch or damage could lead to rust, while other frames of metal such as aluminum, can have a look bare, unpainted.

Aluminum is lighter and cheaper to produce and is highly resistant to corrosion and therefore easier to maintain. Damages are also relatively easy to repair. It's easy to turn into any shape but rigid therefore ideal for dual suspension frames.

Carbon fiber is a composite. It is very light and is used where weight must be shaved. It combines the best properties of different types of metal structure, but is relatively expensive.

When budget is not a problem, titanium is the choice. It is used by professionals because it is light and yet is so strong and hard as steel. It is resistant to corrosion and is very durable. However, because to its high price and light weight, is often used for jumping and downhill racing.

Now that you have an idea about the different types and materials a picture of the mountain bike, you have to decide what you want. The price of the paintings of mountain bikes can vary from a few hundred to a thousand dollars. Is an individual choice, because it all comes down to what you'll need and how much you're willing to spend. Once you have decided on that, down to a bike shop and try adjusting the frame size you. The staff at the bike shop should be able to advise you on choosing the right frame size. Once done, will give a test drive and start having fun! About the Author
